I will read up a bit more on the workload and intensity stuff you described, and Ill see if I can use Fast and Furious as part of my training program. I was looking for a shorter workout because I was getting bored of Insanity, and am having a hard time keeping to the schedule due to my already-busy day (consisting of work, commute and training for an Olympic duathlon). If you could do half of that video every day and not need the recovery day, then you are essentially getting an additional 50 more work volume by working out half as much per session. Lets say youre capable of doing month 2 insanity videos only 2 times per week at 100 intensity and then need a rest day to recover. So, instead of doing an exercise 2x per week to failurefatigue, you can do it 6x per week just as intense but half the duration. There are theories out there that you can increase your overall weekly workloadintensity by working harder for shorter periods of time.
